New MSP AND CSD Certificants

Group of people celebrating in the office

NASP would like to congratulate the safety professionals who have recently earned their Master Safety Professional (MSP)® and Certified Safety Director (CSD)® certifications.

The journey to certification is no easy feat. It requires extensive knowledge, practical skills, a deep understanding of safety regulations, and a passion for ensuring the well-being of all individuals within our organization. By obtaining these certifications, these safety professionals have demonstrated their unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

To the newly certified Master Safety Professionals and Certified Safety Directors, we commend you for your outstanding accomplishment and applaud your dedication to advancing the safety field.

Are you giving serious thought to sitting for the MSP or CSD certification? Here are a few reasons to consider:

  • Earning the MSP or CSD safety certification can benefit you in various ways, qualifying you to implement practices that promote a safer company culture and increase productivity in the workplace. As a safety professional, your primary aim is to ensure workers are safe on the job site by sharing your knowledge of the best industry practices and safety trends.
  • Companies must ensure the health and safety of employees, making it essential for them to hire a qualified individual with a safety certification. The MSP and CSD certifications are designed for safety professionals who excel at problem-solving, strategy, and communication.
  • The MSP and CSD exams focus on practical workplace safety knowledge that you, as a professional, use daily to keep your employees safe. The exams focus primarily on general industry laws and consensus standards, rather than on science, mathematics, and engineering.
  • Both certifications offer four eligibility tracks to qualify to sit for the exam, which include experienced safety professionals who do not have a degree.
  • Both certifications provide immediate access to the exam blueprint and references, allowing you to determine your comfort level with the exam before applying.
  • Both certification exams offer optional preparation courses to prepare for the official certification exam.
  • The certification exams are third-party proctored closed-book exams containing 150 questions, with 3.0 hours to complete.
