Technical Higher Institute for Engineering and Petroleum (THIEP) is part of “Hajr” for Technical Education and Training, an educational company specializing in technical education and training for over two decades. The institute is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
THIEP delivers globally recognized safety and technical certifications including NEBOSH, IOSH, ACI, OSHA-based programs, and NASP/IASP qualifications, supporting strong safety culture and professional competence. Its Safety Officer Qualification Certificate is recognized as a BCSP Qualified Equivalent Program (QEP), enabling graduates to pursue the Transitional Safety Practitioner (TSP) pathway.
Founded in 2009, THIEP is one of the leading institutions in the Kingdom offering diploma programs in areas such as Surveying Technology (SRV), Mechanical Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (MI/NDT), Civil Technology (CT), and Oil & Gas Exploration (O&G).
The institute’s vocational training curriculum is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The training programs include Welding (WLD), Scaffolding (SCF), Pipefitting (PF), Electrical (ELE), and Site Safety (FS). Additionally, the institute offers short technical courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Inspection, and Soft Skills development.
THIEP’s accreditation as a training partner with Saudi Aramco has paved the way for its involvement in training and assessment programs such as Work Permit Receiver (WPR) and Contractor Worker Qualification Assurance Program (CWQAP).
The institute operates under the supervision of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), with license number 66040/1/8. TVTC is a governmental body dedicated to developing the national workforce through training that meets the local labor market’s needs and industry requirements.
