Personal Protective Equipment Technician (CPT)
Course Objectives:
Are you involved in the selection, use, or maintenance of personal protective equipment? Do you need to know how to identify the need, determine the proper PPE, and provide the necessary training and documentation for PPE use? Do you need to know how to apply the PPE Regulations? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this course is for you. More
Learning Outcome:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to perform a PPE hazard assessment, understand the requirements for payment, selection and maintenance of PPE, understand the importance of fit testing and implement effective training for employees.
Online Exams:
The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.
Optional Credits:
The estimated time required to complete the course is 20 hours, but can be done at the student's own pace. Two (2) CEUs are offered through the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for this course. Recertification:
All NASP certifications require refresher training once every three years. The certifications should be refreshed before their expiration date. Click here for more details.
