Course Objectives:


This course will teach you how to meet the OSHA Requirements for Injury and Illness Recording and Reporting. You will also learn a variety of health related requirements and safe work practices such as: Hearing Conservation, First Aid and Medical Services, Housekeeping, Illumination, Sanitation, Employee Emergency Action Plans, Alarm Systems, Thermal Conditions in the Workplace, Medical Screening and Surveillance, Employee Access to Medical Records, and Automated External Defibrillators.

Learning Outcome:


Upon successful completion of the course, the student will understand the changes in updated recordkeeping regulations, learn how to utilize the 300, 300A and 301 forms, determine the difference between first aid and medical services, understand covered employees concerning contractors and temporary employees, understand employee privacy rights and understand general safety and health provisions of OSHA's construction standards.

Optional Credits:


The estimated time required to complete the course is 24 hours, but can be done at the student's own pace. The student  will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course.  You must score 80% to receive certification.  You have three opportunities to pass the exam.

Two (2) CEUs are offered through the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for this course.
