Certification:
Certified Petroleum Safety Manager (PSM) - Drilling and Servicing
Course Objectives:
This course covers the critical safety and health tools that are the backbone of general and construction industry safety and health program standards. This is the union of incident specific expertise and managerial skills. This course also reviews advanced training that applies to servicing in the oil and gas well drilling industry.
Learning Outcome:
The PSM will capably serve as safety team director in responsible charge of comprehensive safety plan development, maintenance, and effectiveness. This individual will control training, reporting, analysis, and assign responsibility for job safety and worker compliance for all employees and subcontractors on the job site.
Course Prerequisites :
Completion of NASP Certified Petroleum Safety Specialist (PSS) - Drilling and Servicing course is a prerequisite for this course.
Online Exams :
The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.
Optional Credits:
The estimated time required to complete the course is 40 hours, but can be done at the student's own pace. Four (4) CEUs are offered through the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for this course. Recertification:
All NASP certifications require refresher training once every three years. The certifications should be refreshed before their expiration date. Click here for more details.
