Death in the Workplace/Line of Duty Death

We, as a people, are quick to recognize those in Law Enforcement, the Fire and Rescue Services, and the Military who die in the line of duty. They die while serving us and facing danger.

Why do we do less for those who are killed in the workplace? They, too, are doing their duty and they are working in places of varying levels of danger. They, too, are serving us by making the products we need and providing the services we need.

Finally, we have the opportunity to recognize those who die in the workplace. The USMWF (United Support & Memorial For Workplace Fatalities), a great organization, offers assistance to those who have lost a loved one in a workplace death. They also offer anyone the chance to memorialize anyone we know who has died in the workplace. We encourage you to use their services and to support their efforts.
