Issue IASP/NASP Diplomas and Pocket Cards
Your credibility as a trainer is clearly established with both your students and your employer. IASP/NASP certified Safety Training Specialists (STS) are authorized to issue IASP/NASP diplomas and pocket cards to their students for any course in which they hold IASP/NASP certification or approval. All topics covered in the Safety Manager/Trainer Course are approved for this purpose as well as all IASP/NASP Independent Study Courses.
Issuing a diploma and/or pocket card with the IASP/NASP logo and the heading "National (or International) Association of Safety Professionals" along with your signature and certification number provides a high level of credibility to your courses. As an IASP/NASP certified trainer you bring a new and important dimension to your company's "in-house" training. Your students place a higher value on their diplomas and your employer values your training more. These certificates also serve as a standard by which employers may judge the training an employee has received from another employer.
The diplomas and cards are printed by IASP/NASP with the heading
"National (or Internatoinal) Association of Safety Professionals, IASP/NASP
logo, an area for the trainer to fill in the student's name and the
course name (printable), the certificate has preprinted "The National Association of Safety Professionals Certified Trainer", whose signature and certification number appear below, hereby certifies that the above named did attend and satisfactorily complete the course of study herein named.",
the bottom of the certificate has blank areas in which the trainer enters their signature and certification number.
The certificates and pocket cards are available from IASP/NASP for $1.00 each in packages of 100.

Help when you need advice. We all need a second opinion from time to time. IASP/NASP members are welcome to
e-mail the IASP/NASP staff with requests for advice on safety related issues. The IASP/NASP staff makes every effort to assist members in this manner, within the confines time available.
Resume reference: Any member may list the IASP or NASP as a professional reference on resumes and applications. Those desiring this service should submit a resume to the IASP/NASP. IASP/NASP staff will then verify the resume and provide third party validation of the knowledge, skills, abilities, ad experience of the member when called upon by a potential employer.
10% discount on all IASP/NASP certification fees or products purchased for the sole use and benefit of the member. This discount is available only after one year's membership.
Opportunity to serve as an IASP/NASP Training Coalition Coordinator. Training Coalition Coordinators organize safety in their areas to be taught by the IASP/NASP.
For example, one member recently had five employees they needed to send to a HAZWOPER refresher course which would normally cost their company $175.00 each, plus travel expenses. The member contacted other area safety directors until they located an additional fifteen students. By doing so, all employers who participated in this "coalition" paid only $95.00 per student and eliminated travel expense by holding the class locally. The Training Coalition Coordinator earns 10% of the certification fees which may be paid directly to the Coordinator, used to reduce the certification fees for the Coordinator's students, or used to subsidize an IASP/NASP scholarship, at the Coordinator's discretion.
Opportunity to serve as an IASP/NASP Trainer or Consultant. Those members attaining the STS Registration may apply to serve as IASP/NASP trainers in their local areas. Those attaining the SPS Registration and the SCA Certification may apply to serve as IASP/NASP consultants in their local areas.

Assistance to members who face civil or criminal liability: When any IASP/NASP Board Certified Specialist is sued or criminally charged, the IASP/NASP will provide an expert witness to provide testimony attesting to the Specialist's qualifications as demonstrated in the acquisition of their certification. No charge is made for this service. Your employer will only be required to pay the actual travel and per diem for the expert witness.
